

The new 1GD – FTV and 2GD–FTV engines are smaller than the old KD engines in terms of displacement but deliver more horsepower and torque.

The new Fortuner also benefits from Toyota's new range of diesel engines with the GD family. Top-spec variants will also get a DVD touch-screen entertainment system with navigation, automatic climate control and steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.

The new multi-information display shows fuel eco, a compass, and radio display. The All-New Fortuner now also comes with a capacitive touchscreen audio with navigation and a Multi-Information Display for both the G and the V grades. G Models get 17 inch wheels while the V models ride on 18 inch wheels. The tail lamps now get LED guiding lights for better visibility and to give it a distinct style. Base model aside, the Fortuner gets LED DRLs and Bi-Beam projector LED headlamps across the lineup. Both headlights and tail lamps have been slimmed down, keeping it in line with Toyota's design language for pickups and SUVs. The exterior design is an evolution from the first generation model, along with aggressive Hilux cues in the front facsia.
